Normal Skin
Characteristics of a normal skin
-
Healthy skin with no issues or special problems.
-
Good moisture levels.
-
Healthy skin barrier that functions properly to protect the skin.
Maintenance of a normal skin
As normal skin does not really have any issues or problems, the main aim is to keep it healthy. Follow a daily regime and stay away from harsh ingredients and cleansers and opt for the more natural and mild ingredients.
Ingredients to look out for
Jojoba carrier oil, Glycerine, Hyaluronic acid, Urea, Niacinamide, Shea, Mango and Cocoa Butter, Peptides, Coenzyme Q 10, Ginseng, Edelweiss, Ginger root, Liquorice, Hibiscus and Green Tea extracts, Vitamin E and C, Caffeinne, Collagen, AHA's, Ceramides, Carotenoids, Bees Wax, and Hydrolysed proteins.
Skin Regime
-
Keep skin clean with a facial wash suitable for normal skin.
-
Apply a toner suitable for normal skin. Toners containing hyaluronic acid will add extra moisture to the skin.
-
Apply serums only when you experience problem areas, or as a preventative measure for instance an eye serum around the eyes to prevent fine lines.
-
Use a broad-spectrum, high-level SPF factor day cream during the day.
-
Use a night moisturizer during the night.
-
Exfoliate once a week with an exfoliating cream suitable for normal skin to get rid of old skin cells. The cream should contain natural physical exfoliating particles like ground-up apricot shells etc. When using our exfoliants, there's no need to apply force; gentle, light circular movements are sufficient to achieve a smooth, revitalized complexion.
-
Use a mask once a week and straight after the exfoliation, and the mask could be either to deep cleanse or to add moisture depending on how your skin feels.
-
If you feel that your skin is dull, you could use a chemical exfoliating cream containing AHA's once to two times per week.
